Dr. Miguel you were/are a yoga teacher 🎊 , you mentioned vagus nerve.

One of the ways to stimulate vagus and promote deeply parasympathetic response is through ujjayi breathing, with slight constriction on the back of the troat.

I had digest issues and i’ve became mindful of what, how and when i eat. It helps. Great piece🤩

Thank you so much for your kind words, Mila. I no longer teach, but yes, I did train to be a yoga teacher many moons ago, and pranayama was one of the aspects of my training I was most fascinated by. Ujjayi breathing is one of my favourites 🙏🏽

Is there a meditation app/service that you'd recommend? I have ADD as well and struggle with finding one that does not overwhelm me at use and with notifications.

Hi Cristina, the problem I have with a lot of the apps too. I like guided meditations because they take you on a journey and they minimise the chances of getting distracted by your own thoughts. For that, I like the audio meditations available through the Gaia app. It's worth checking them out. Hope this helps 🙏🏽

Thank you very much! I am new to meditation and I am really struggling at the moment to find something that won't distract me in the moment (brain doing an awesome job with that, thanks Brain!) or overwhelm me with the design and content. I will try Gaia :)

That is wonderful, and it makes me very happy! Amazing! How did it feel? 🙏🏽

In a way I felt a calmness as I went through the meditation even though there were noises from a plane overhead, wind rustling through leaves of a beech tree and a fridge!

Repeating the words really keeps you in the moment...

And that’s exactly how it’s supposed to work. You’re truly embracing the spirit of wabi-sabi ❤️

Definitely going to practice the mantra meditation. I’ve been meaning to make a habit of meditation for a while. My mind wanders a lot in the beginning but will stick with it! X

Wonderful Catherine! Please let me know how you get on with it. And remember. When your mind wanders, just let whatever has popped into it go with the next exhale and start again. The only thing that mattes is the inhale and the exhale you're experiencing as you recite the mantra silently to yourself. The rest of the world can wait. Enjoy! ❤️
